Northwest EMS provides EMS coverage through the Kenora District in Northwestern Ontario, also referred to as Sunset Country. This region is known for its scenic boreal forests and hundreds of freshwater lakes, offering opportunities for outdoor adventures like hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, hiking and more. The cost of living in the Kenora District is significantly lower than in other parts of Ontario. Housing is particularly affordable, providing comfortable living options at a fraction of the cost found in larger cities. Despite the lower cost of living, wages in the region remain competitive, providing residents a higher quality of life. Our Primary Care Paramedics operate emergency vehicles and deliver pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for ill or injured individuals. All paramedics receive IV training and benefit from monthly training opportunities to continually enhance their skills. NWEMS Paramedics work with cutting-edge equipment and technology, including advanced airways, power load stretchers, and automatic compression devices. We also offer Education Cost Recovery of $4,000 to assist new recruits with their education repayment.
